I have always been fond of poetry since I was young. In every English textbook that we were learning from, alongside the prose and poetry, the names of the authors were always highlighted. I used to dream about my name being there, with my work for the world to read. It all started one night suddenly, when we were going on a late-night drive, and I stared up at the moon. It was so beautiful that I felt compelled to write about it. There, I wrote my first-ever poem, “The Moon,” when I was just 7 years old, making it one memorable night. Ever since, I write poems whenever I feel inspired. Also, my first poem, in its originality, is on the last page of this book. This anthology features a collection of all my best poems to date. I really hope you enjoy reading them.
